Investigation

The South Susan Media Authority investigates complaints of media misconduct and takes appropriate action. The process of complaint filing is:

1. Write a formal complaint to the Media Authority, addressed to the Managing Director.

2. Compile all the materials deemed to be damaging or that contain defamatory or hate speech statements.

3. Submit it either in person or online at info@ssma.gov.ss.


The South Sudan Media Authority will investigate the complaint to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to support the allegation. If the media outlet/individual has committed misconduct, it will take appropriate action, which may include


  1. Issuing a warning to the media outlet
  2. Requiring the media outlet to correct or remove inaccurate or misleading information
  3. Suspending or revoking the media outlet's license
